Vets for Pets Basildon Pipps Hill is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our supportive team of 4 vets, 6 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 2 VCAs.

You will work across all general nursing duties with a strong focus on patient and client care. The role offers 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends and a competitive salary (£28,000–£35,000), plus pension, healthcare and staff discounts.

Would you like to work in a great practice with a dynamic team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Nurse here at Basildon Pipps Hill Vets for Pets!

No two days are the same at our small animal practice, situated in Basildon on the Pipps Hill Retail Park. We have invested considerably in our team and kit to make a number of advanced services available to our clients. So, you will see plenty of variety within your role, including furry exotics.

You’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team made up of 4 vets, 6 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 2 VCAs. Two of our vets are certificate holders with 1 in surgery and 1 in internal medicine. We also have a fantastic non-clinical team to support the client journey, freeing up our Nurses to carry out their roles effectively. Overall, we are passionate about being at the heart of the local community and a are looking for someone who feels the same.

We are looking for an RVN with excellent communication skills, who is confident in all areas of general nursing. You’ll have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. They key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

This position is full-time working 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends, and 1 day off in lieu after working the weekend. There are various shift patterns between 9am-7.30pm, Monday-Friday. Bank Holiday cover is required pro rota 9am-5-15pm.
