Job summary

Winnersh Vets for Pets in Sindlesham, United Kingdom, seeks a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a supportive team of Vets and RVNs. You will provide high-quality patient care and contribute across the busy first opinion practice.

The role is full-time with shifts 8:30 am–5:00 pm or 11:00 am–7:30 pm, plus a 1 in 5 Saturday rotation with a Vet Care Assistant. We offer career development, pension and staff discounts.

Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a role where your skills, knowledge and passion for patient care are truly valued and fully utilised every day? If so, then here at Winnersh Vets for Pets we have the perfect opportunity for you.

About us

You will be working alongside 4 Vets, 4 RVN’s, an SVN, a Saturday VCA and a dedicated Reception and admin team. Amongst our talented team we hold certificates in Ophthalmology, Internal medicine and nursing small mammals. We welcome a wide range of pets including rabbits and small furries at our practice and undertake orthopaedics with the help of a visiting peripatetic surgeon.

We are very proud to hold silver status in cat and rabbit friendly clinic and have been accredited as a dog friendly clinic making us proud to work to fear free practice standards. We also work with Herbie Hedgehog Rescue, making prickly patients a regular for us. We are very well equipped with dental x-ray, ultrasound, internal lab facilities, tonometer, slit lamps, and more to provide the best possible care to our patients.

About you

We are looking for an RVN with good general nursing experience. Our practice will allow you to utilise your skills amongst a supportive team and get involved in all areas of a busy first opinion practice. We are committed to helping you grow in your career and advance professionally.

You will help with the daily running of the practice to ensure a high standard care for Patients and Clients. Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You’ll have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. They key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

About the role

The position is full-time working 40 hours per week. Our shifts vary between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and 11:00 am - 7:30 pm Monday - Friday ensuring flexibility and a healthy work-life balance.
Our Saturday rotation is 1 in 5, working 8:30 am - 5:00 pm with the support of a Veterinary Care Assistant.
