A veterinary practice in Ottery St Mary is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to perform first opinion nursing duties involving consultations and operations. Otter Vets, Sidmouth and Ottery St Mary are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. The role will involve all first opinion nursing duties with shifts being split between consults and operating.
This is a full‑time permanent role working 40 hours per week. We can offer either 4 × 10‑hour days or 5 × 8‑hour days. Either 8 am‑6 pm or 9 am‑6 pm depending on the chosen shift pattern. You will be part of the weekend on‑call rota – Saturday morning clinic until 1 pm followed by being on call until 6 pm. Sunday requires being on call between 8.30 am‑6 pm. Time off in lieu will be given thereafter.

Otter Vets has two branches based in the coastal town of Sidmouth and the market town of Ottery St Mary in Devon. We are a mixed practice providing veterinary care with a community feel for pets, farms and equine animals. We encourage nurse consults and would like to build this area of the practice. Currently our veterinary surgeons and nurses work between both sites.
Our team is established in the community and takes part in a variety of charity events including running a fun dog show, coffee mornings and Christmas stalls.

Salary up to £30,000 DOE
