Job summary

Axe Valley Vets seeks a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a part-time basis to join a well-equipped, progressive veterinary group. Locations across rural Somerset, with 32 hours a week or up to 40 hours across sites. Shifts 8 hours per day, 4 days per week, 7 am to 7 pm, with 1-hour lunch. Weekend rota included; dogs welcome at work. Up to £32,000 DOE.

You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care, work with veterinarians, and contribute to patient care development across the practice.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.
