At Village Vet Hampstead, our Night Registered Veterinary Nurses are central to the care and outcome of our patients. • A highly capable night team (Registered Veterinary Nurse, Patient Care Assistant, Veterinary Surgeon) enables autonomy and the ability to directly influence patient care decisions

  • Full support from a Lead Night Veterinary Surgeon (holder of a certificate in exotic animal practice) and a senior clinical team committed to emergency and critical care development

  • Work in a hospital with advanced facilities including computed tomography, digital radiography, ultrasound, and emergency surgical suites

  • Opportunities to participate in nurse consultations, patient handovers, and contribute to clinical protocols

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in small animal practice

  • Experience or a strong interest in emergency and critical care and in-patient care

  • Confidence working overnight independently within a supportive team

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

What we offer

  • Annualised hours with flexibility to arrange extended blocks of leave

  • Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Defence Society fees paid

  • Employer contribution pension scheme

  • Life assurance

  • Electric car salary sacrifice scheme

  • Enhanced equal family leave

  • Relocation support (where eligible)

  • Extensive internal and funded external continuing professional development, including support towards further certifications

  • Career development within an experienced emergency and critical care-focused nursing team.
