Job summary

inspiring vet care in Kent is seeking a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Wigmore Vets on a full-time basis. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care within a busy practice, collaborating with veterinary surgeons and the wider team, and supporting ongoing patient care.

You’ll work a 4-day week (Mon-Fri, 8:30-18:30) with 2 in 4 Saturday mornings (8:30-12:00). The team includes 2 Vets, 11 RVNs, 1 Kennel Assistant and 5 Receptionists, with a strong emphasis on development

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with surgery and anaesthesia.
• Ultrasound and diagnostic imaging.
• Laboratory work.
• Dental nursing.
• Inpatient care.
• Client communication.
• Nurse consultations.
• Triage, including working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon, managing emergency calls, client follow-up, medication queries and communicating blood results.
