Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Wigmore Vets in Rainham, Kent. You will deliver high-quality nursing care, support clinical standards and contribute to the care of a busy caseload in a welcoming team.

The role offers a 4-day week (Mon-Fri, 8:30–18:30) and 2 in 4 Saturdays (8:30–12:00). Excellent development opportunities, supportive environment and a focus on work-life balance are provided.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience working in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.

We are seeking an experienced, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Wigmore Vets on a full-time basis.

Wigmore Vets is located in the lovely residential area of Wigmore, Rainham, Kent. We are a well-established practice with a large, loyal client base and a busy caseload that provides plenty of variety every day.

Our well-equipped surgery includes an in-house laboratory and digital X-ray facilities, providing excellent clinical exposure. We truly value our colleagues and are committed to supporting ongoing learning and development throughout your career.

You'll be joining an experienced team of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Kennel Assistant and 5 Receptionists. Many of our colleagues have been with us for 15 to 20 years, creating a close-knit, family-feel team where knowledge, collaboration and support are at the heart of everything we do.

How You'll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You'll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • 4 days per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 6:30pm
  • 2 in 4 Saturday mornings, working 8:30am-12:00pm
General Responsibilities
  • Assisting with surgery and anaesthesia
  • Ultrasound and diagnostic imaging

  • Triage, including working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon, managing emergency calls, client follow-up, medication queries and communicating blood results
