Job summary

inspiring vet care is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Manor Vets, Colebrook in Shirley on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver high‑quality nursing care within a collaborative team of vets, nurses and support staff across our West Midlands practices.

You’ll work a 40‑hour week with shifts 8:00am–7:30pm, 1 in 3 Saturdays, and on-call rota; benefits include extensive leave, private medical insurance, CPD allowance and staff discounts, with a supportive culture focused on

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
• Experience in clinical practice with medical/surgical nursing
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
• Good organisational skills and workload management
• Proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload
• Support inpatient care, theatre practice and anaesthesia monitoring
• Run nurse consultations and support patient admissions and discharges
• Carry out basic laboratory tasks and support diagnostic procedures
• Triage patients and assist with incoming calls where required
