Job summary

Crewe Vets4Pets is hiring aRegistered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our growing team in Crewe. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a 1 in 3 Saturday commitment; part-time hours can be discussed. You’ll perform consults, assist with neutering admissions and weight clinics, and monitor anaesthesia.

The role includes stock control and occasional reception support, in a friendly, patient-focused practice with a varied caseload and opportunities for growth and partnership pathways.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).
• Experience with basic consults and neutering admissions.
• Confident in monitoring anaesthesia.
• Able to manage inventory and stock orders.
• Willing to support reception when required.

Job description

Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse eager to make a difference? We have an exciting chance to be part of a supportive team in our Crewe Vets for Pets practice

• We are a growing team and due to this we are looking for an experienced RVN to join our team.
• This is ideally a full time role but we understand this does not suit everyone so we can consider part time hours
• You will ideally be confident in carrying out basic consults, neutering admits and weight clinics
• You will be involved with monitoring anaesthesia
• You will be responsible for stock orders
• This role will involve you supporting the reception when required
• Paying up to £32,000 (FTE, DOE)

About the Role:

We’re looking for a full-time RVN to join us, ideally working 40 hours per week, with a commitment of 1 in 3 Saturdays, 9am- 2pm. However, if you are looking for part time hours please let us know and we can see what we can do for you!

Your schedule will offer a mix of early shifts (8:30am – 4.30pm) and late shifts (11.00am – 7:00pm), giving you a well-rounded work-life balance.

Crewe Vets4Pets is at a pivotal point of growth, enhancing our nurse clinics and embracing innovative ways to engage with pets and clients alike. We’re seeking someone with a passion for patient care, who’s eager to contribute to our daily operations and perhaps, explore pathways toward practice partnership.

Over the course of the week you will work a mix of consults and theatre and will work closely with our clinical team. Our consults run throughout the day and are a mix of post op checks, development clinics, socialisation/ desensitisation clinics and 2nd/ 3rd vaccines. In practice we see a variety of work from routine neutering and dentistry to orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. If you're wanting a voice and have your thoughts and ideas heard we run clinical governance meetings most Fridays and are keen to take on board your ideas!
