Job summary

Stockport Vets for Pets is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a growing clinical team in Stockport, Cheshire. You will admit patients, monitor anaesthetics, recover, and discharge with support from ANAs and an SVN. A passion for animal welfare and excellent client service is essential.

The role offers full or part-time hours, 1 in 4 full weekends and 1 in 4 single days. CPD and certificates are funded, with a generous package and pensions.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with minimum 2 years post-qualification experience.
• Good customer service skills and cheerful, down-to-earth attitude.
• Interest in animal welfare and development through varied caseload.

Responsibilities

• Admit patients and monitor anaesthetics.
• Recover and discharge patients with ANAs and SVN support.
• Provide nursing care and maintain high clinical standards while delivering excellent client service.

About Us:

We’re a happy team who pride themselves on the high standard of care we provide to our clients and of the way we work together. The practice is rapidly growing and now seeing over 1000 consults per week!

We are a general practice clinic based in Stockport, Cheshire with a large caseload, 3 surgical theatres, 1 dental room, dental radiography, radiography, ultrasound. We have an experienced and very supportive nursing and animal care team. We are a thriving and well-respected practice with high clinical standards and a large, bonded client based, established since 2001. We are situated with fantastic transport links from all directions so you can enjoy everything the Northwest has to offer.

In order to keep continuity of care and for client’s convenience we also have several peripatetic specialists who visit to assist with more advanced orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, imaging and endoscopy.

About the Role:

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. Assistance from ANAs and an SVN with turning around theatre, patient prep. To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare.

We are looking for an experienced RVN with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.

This is a Full or Part Time role and we are able to be flexible for the right candidate. This will include working 1 in 4 full weekends and 1 in 4 single days.
