Job summary

Knockanboy Vets in Ballymoney is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team across Dervock and Coleraine. You will deliver high-quality nursing care and support our vets in a busy mixed practice.

The role offers a varied caseload, 37 hours per week, rota including weekends and on-call, with training opportunities through our Nurse Academy and a supportive, values-led culture.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage workload.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Nurse consults.
• Theatre work including monitoring anaesthetics.
• Supporting vets with consults including imaging and lab work.
• Inpatient care.
