Head Registered Veterinary Nurse – Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire

£34,000–£38,000 DOE | Full Time | Permanent | Independent Veterinary Clinic

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (Head RVN) to join a brand-new independent veterinary clinic in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RVN with leadership experience, or a confident Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to take the next step into a Head Nurse role.

The Head RVN will lead and support the nursing team, helping to deliver consistently high standards of veterinary nursing and patient care while creating a positive, collaborative working environment.

Working alongside the veterinary team, the role will involve overseeing day-to-day nursing operations, mentoring colleagues, maintaining clinical standards and making the most of the clinic's modern facilities and bespoke veterinary technology.

What They're Looking For

• RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
• Previous Head Nurse or senior nursing experience, or the capability to step into a leadership role
• Strong leadership, organisation and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A high standard of clinical and patient care
• Confidence working with modern veterinary equipment and technology
• A proactive, adaptable and supportive approach

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and support the veterinary nursing team
• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and clinical standards
• Work closely with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider team to deliver excellent patient care
• Support the effective use and maintenance of veterinary equipment and technology
• Manage clinical stock, supplies and medications
• Promote a positive and supportive team culture
• Support staff training, development and CPD
