Job summary

Andale Vets in Widnes is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis. The role covers nursing care for a varied first opinion caseload, including nursing consultations, inpatient care, and support for surgical procedures.

You will work 38.5 hours across a 4-day pattern, with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings and no Sundays. We offer a supportive practice with RCVS-accredited training and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS is essential.
• Experience in clinical practice with confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills with ability to manage workload effectively.
• Proactive approach to learning, reflection and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Run nurse consultations and support preventative healthcare.
• Provide inpatient care and patient monitoring.
• Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing.
• Assist with laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
