About us:

We're a welcoming team of 6 vets, 7 RVNs, an SVN, a VCA and an experienced client care team, all encouraged to make the most of their skills and expertise.

Colleague wellbeing is at the heart of our practice. From allocated admin time and a thoughtful diary structure to a wellbeing support, social events, Mental Health First Aiders, and regular team meetings, we strive to create a positive and supportive workplace.

As an RCVS-accredited practice with Bronze ISFM accreditation, we're passionate about providing excellent patient care while supporting our colleagues' professional development. Our loyal client base and access to visiting specialists allow us to manage a varied and rewarding caseload in-house. We also welcome peripatetic orthopaedic surgeons, ultra-sonographers and cardiologists giving us continuity in practice too. We also support lots of local community events including school visits, brownies and cubs helping to cement our local reputation.

About you and the role:

This is a Full Time position working approximately 40 hours per week (8am to 7pm). However, we understand the importance of a healthy work life balance so if you have any specific requirements, please do reach out. There will be Saturdays (9-5) included on a 1 in 3 rota basis.

Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. We’re looking for a proactive, enthusiastic team player who is keen to work in a progressive, fast paced first opinion practice, with high clinical standards. The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the veterinary nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.

You’ll have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare. Our team of RVNs are able to utilise their full range of skills and we actively encourage all our colleagues to develop their individual areas of clinical interests.

Whether you’re a newly qualified RVN looking for your first role in a practice you can really learn and thrive, or an experienced nurse ready to take your career to the next level, we’d love to hear from you! We’ll support you every step of the way.
