IVC Evidensia Zetland Vet Hospital on Zetland Road, Redland, UK, seeks a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a small, dedicated team across Zetland Road, Stoke Bishop and Fishponds. The role focuses on nursing care, lab work, diagnostics, anaesthesia and client interactions within a supportive primary care setting.

You will work 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, including some Saturdays, with opportunities across our sites.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience in clinical practice with core medical and surgical nursing responsibilities.
  • Experience with sole charge when required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel between Zetland Road, Stoke Bishop and Fishponds sites.

Responsabilités

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Zetland Vets on either a permanent or 12-month fixed-term basis.

You’ll be joining a small, friendly and close-knit team, working across our Zetland Road, Stoke Bishop and Fishponds sites. Our practices are well equipped with operating theatre facilities, dental X-ray and an in-house laboratory, providing a varied environment in which to use and develop your nursing skills.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care while supporting excellent experiences for our patients and clients.

You’ll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

The role will be predominantly consult-based alongside your wider nursing responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to build strong client relationships while remaining involved in inpatient care, diagnostics, anaesthesia and surgical support.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days
  • Mix of shifts between 8:00am and 8:30pm
  • Based at Stoke Bishop
  • 8 Saturdays per year, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Permanent and 12-month fixed-term opportunities available

Key Responsibilities

  • Run nurse clinics and provide a high standard of client care
  • Assist with laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
  • Monitor anaesthesia and support surgical procedures
  • Work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider clinical team
  • Maintain high standards of patient welfare, clinical hygiene and infection control
  • Support the smooth running of the practice across our different sites
