Job summary

Linnaeus Veterinary Limited is seeking an additional Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the Gower Veterinary Surgery team in Swansea. The role supports surgeons across a range of procedures and clinics, with duties covering inpatient care and meticulous record-keeping.

The successful candidate will be RCVS registered, with strong communication and organisational skills, and a patient‑centred approach. The role is full-time with Saturday mornings on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinary surgeons with a wide range of procedures including surgical procedures, dentals, and diagnostic workups
• Carry out nurse consultations and clinics
• Provide high-quality inpatient care and assist with medications and treatments
• Maintain accurate clinical records including anaesthetic sheets and hospitalisation forms
• Ensure infection control standards and equipment maintenance
• Collaborate with RVNs, PCAs, vets and reception for smooth daily operations
• Maintain excellent client communication from admission to discharge

37.5 hours per week, Saturday mornings on a rota basis (approx. 1 in 5, with time back in lieu)

At Gower Vets we are seeking an additional Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive, close-knit nursing team of 5 RVNs and 3 PCAs.

Roles and responsibilities

• Support veterinary surgeons with a wide range of procedures including surgical procedures, dentals, and diagnostic workups
• Carry out a range of nurse consultations and clinics
• Provide high-quality inpatient care, assisting with administration of medications and treatment prescribed
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records including anaesthetic sheets, hospitalisation forms and clinical notes
• Ensure high standards of patient welfare and infection control; adhering to stringent infection control protocols and maintenance of equipment, reporting faults or damages
• Contribute to the efficient day-to-day running of the practice by working collaboratively with RVNs, PCAs, vets, and reception teams
• Maintain excellent client communication and service standards, supporting clients through their journey from admission to discharge
