Linnaeus is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join Avonvale Veterinary Centres at Heathcote. This 40-hour full-time role offers a competitive starting salary, with a salary starting from £30,000 per annum, and a supportive team of vets and nurses.

You will be exposed to a wide range of clinical duties and nursing skills, including consults and anesthesia. Nights or weekends are available with rota options dependent on branch needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold RVN qualification and be registered with the RCVS.
• Experience with small animals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle a wide variety of nursing procedures and cases.
• Assist with consults and Schedule 3 duties and other nursing tasks.
• Participate in on-call/out-of-hours rota and weekend shifts.

Here at Avonvale, we have an excellent opportunity to welcome a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team!

We are currently looking for an RVN to join our team at Heathcote

We are a group of seven Primary Care Practices based around the county of Warwickshire. With over 40 years' experience, our RCVS qualified vets and nurses are dedicated to looking after small animals and their needs. Having multiple certificate holders in surgery, imaging, and medicine, we take pride in continuously developing our employees' skills and interests within the veterinary industry.

Your role and responsibilities

Due to our skilled team of Veterinary Surgeons holding various Certificates, we see a vast array of cases and refer very few, meaning you will be exposed to a wide variety of procedures and advanced nursing techniques. Our nurse team, equally as skilled in their areas of expertise, also boasts some fantastic longevity in service, one of our team having been with us for over 35 years.

We pride ourselves in our full nurse utilisation incorporating consults as well as schedule 3 etc into your working day providing our nursing population with great job satisfaction. Our nurse team includes people with interests in a wide variety of areas including anaesthesia, Emergency and Client Care and behaviour and therefore opens opportunities to you to grow your skills and expertise alongside our experienced team. We are also supported by our wonderful Patient Care Assistants (PCA) who work alongside our RVNs to achieve the highest standards of care for our patients.

The position will include some out of hours work and would suit a self-motivated RVN with their own transport who is keen to develop their skills. You can choose between nights or weekends. In return, we offer a competitive salary, relaxed 1:13 weekend and 1:10 nights rota 1:8 Saturday pm rota plus Saturday mornings 1:7 at branch dependent on requirements at the individual branches. Weekends and nights are based at the Warwick hospital.
