Job summary

Fair City Vets in Scotland is seeking a proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit team across Crieff, Perth and Auchterarder. You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care for small animals and support clinical procedures within a collaborative practice.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Fair City Vets on a full‑time basis.

Our three well‑established sites in Crieff, Perth (Fair City), and Auchterarder each have strong community ties and unique strengths. We are proud to offer advanced veterinary services including laparoscopy, ultrasonography, dental radiography (IM3), in‑house lab testing, radiography, and laser therapy.

Our dedicated team includes three vets and two RVNs supported by a fantastic reception team. We are passionate about continuous professional development, encouraging specialisation, and supporting clinical progression at all levels.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • 40 hours per week
  • Working 4 days per week, 8:30am-7:00pm
  • 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota
  • No OOH or on‑call
General Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care across a wide range of small animal cases
  • Assist with clinical procedures and surgical support
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Manage nurse consultations and appointments
  • Deliver client education and preventative healthcare advice
  • Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team to ensure excellent patient outcomes
  • Maintain a positive and supportive team environment
  • Mentor and support junior nursing staff and student nurses in their development
