Abbey Vets, Paisley is a proactive and compassionate RVN joining our RCVS-accredited Paisley branch. The role is full-time, permanent with no on-call duties and 1:4 weekends, based at Paisley, with 40 hours per week.

The practice offers a modern, purpose-built environment after refurbishment, supported by a wide lab with haematology, biochemistry, ultrasound, digital radiography, dental X-ray, endoscope and the latest dental equipment, plus a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Full-time RVN with proactive and compassionate approach.
• Experience in small animal practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Caring for medical and surgical patients post op.
• Assist vets in theatre and prep area.
• Ordering and stock control of pharmacy.
• Caring for isolation patients.
• Lab work and investigations.

Abbey Vets, Paisley is looking for a proactive and compassionate full-time RVNto join our dedicated and caring team.

We are an RCVS accredited, well-established, friendly, mixed practice with surgeries in Paisley and Greenock. You will be joining a supportive network of vets, nurses, ACAs and receptionists.

We aim to provide excellent first opinion care to our patients, and a great service to our loyal, long-standing clients.

You’ll be joining us at an exciting time as our Paisley practice has recently undergone a major refurbishment, creating a modern, purpose-built environment. Our practice facilities include a fully equipped lab with the latest haematology, biochemistry, electrolyte and therapeutic monitoring, ultrasound scanner, digital radiography, including dental x-ray machine, endoscope and the latest dental machine, instruments and equipment.

The Role:

• Full-time– 40 hours per week (part-time considered for the right candidate)
• Based at our Paisleybranch
• Permanent contract
• No on-call duties and 1:4 weekends

** Salary – up to £35,000 dependent on experience (based on 40 hrs/wk)

Duties are based on a rota system consisting of:

• Caring for both medical and surgical patients post op
• Assisting vets in both theatre and prep area
• Ordering and stock control of pharmacy
• Caring for isolation patients
• Lab work
