Medivet Matlock is looking for a Nurse to join our experienced and supportive team. Situated in the picturesque town of Matlock, our spacious and well-located clinic provides a great environment for delivering excellent care and developing your nursing skills.

The practice features three consult rooms, ample parking, and a strong, close-knit team made up of 1 Veterinary Surgeon, 3 Client Care Assistants, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and a Patient Care Assistant. We’re equipped with the standard facilities to support a balanced caseload, allowing the team to work closely together and provide personalised care to every patient.

This is a permanent, full-time role, working 40 hours over five days.

Matlock is a beautiful area on the edge of the Peak District, offering a lovely balance of community feel and easy access to stunning countryside – ideal if you’re looking for a great quality of life alongside a rewarding role.

Role Accountabilities

In This Role You Will

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills And Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
