Purovets in Manchester is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to take ownership of their nursing role within a busy first-opinion small-animal practice. You’ll run your own nurse clinics daily and work closely with our vets and nursing team across two branches just 3.5 miles apart.

With a large, loyal client base and a generous CPD allowance, you’ll develop your clinical skills and progress your career. We offer 33 days’ annual leave incl.

Job description

• Join a friendly, independent small-animal practice where nurses are encouraged to nurse and have genuine ownership of their role.
• Become part of an experienced, supportive clinical team across two closely located branches in South Manchester.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RVN to take ownership of their nursing role within a busy first-opinion small-animal practice. You’ll run your own nurse clinics every day alongside a varied clinical role, working closely with our vets and experienced nursing team across two branches just 3.5 miles apart. With a large and loyal client base, there’s plenty of opportunity to build strong client relationships, develop your clinical skills and pursue the areas of nursing that interest you most.

The Rota

• Full-time role with no compulsory weekend rota.
• 3-hour Saturday morning shift for those who would like additional weekend work.
• Saturday shifts include your own nurse consultations alongside supporting the vet.
• Saturday hours are paid as overtime or can be taken as paid time off in lieu.
• Run your own nurse clinics and develop your consultation and client communication skills.
• Build on your existing clinical experience and develop areas of nursing that interest you.
• Work alongside experienced vets who are keen to support and develop talent within the team.
• Access dedicated CPD time and funding to keep building your knowledge and confidence.
• Support is available for further qualifications and certificates in areas that complement your interests and the practice.
• Take on additional responsibility and progress your career within the practice.

Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with ideally 2+ years’ experience — although we’ll consider less experience for the right person.
