Job description

Medivet Coningsby and Horncastle have an exciting opportunity to join their team on a full time basis split between both practices. The teams are passionate about patient care and high clinical standards, and they’re committed to continuous improvement.

Medivet Horncastle is a well-established, branch partner-led clinic located centrally with great access to transport links. Dave, the branch partner, is a qualified Vet GDP advisor

Our Coningsby practice is a small, single vet practice with one consult room, a theatre and a prep room all off of a pleasant reception area

The role is 40 hours a week. 2 days a week at Coningsby and 3 days a week a Horncastle with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, which you'll receive TOIL for. The working shifts will vary depending on staffing levels at Horncastle.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
• Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
• Dispense and check medication.
• Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
• Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
• Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
• Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
