Links Veterinary Group in Haddington is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team for a full-time role at their purpose-built hospital. You will provide high-quality nursing care across a range of first opinion cases, working alongside veterinary surgeons and a supportive team.

The role offers varied duties within theatre, inpatient wards, and consults, with strong emphasis on client experience.

Qualifications

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Links Veterinary Group on a full-time basis.
Based primarily at our purpose-built hospital in Haddington, you'll have access to fantastic facilities including:

• Two fully equipped operating theatres
• Dedicated dental suite and imaging suite
• Separate cat and dog wards
• Isolation kennel
• Dedicated nurse consultation room
• In House Laboratory
  

You’ll also have opportunities to work across our branch practices throughout East Lothian, offering further variety and the chance to build relationships with clients and colleagues across the wider group.
One of the things we're particularly proud of is our dedicated out-of-hours team of vets and nurses. Having a permanent night team means our patients benefit from true continuity of care, allowing more comprehensive case work-ups, closer monitoring of hospitalised patients, and improved follow-up of complex cases. For our day team nurses, this means seeing cases progress, achieving better clinical outcomes, and experiencing greater professional satisfaction.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern: Rota-based, with start times varying between 7:00am and 11:30am
• Working days: 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch break
• Weekend rota: 1 in 8 weekends, working Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am–7:00pm, with TOIL
• OOH: No out-of-hours work
