Links Veterinary Group in Haddington, part of inspiring vet care, seeks a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis. You’ll deliver high-quality nursing care, work with clinicians, and support excellent client experiences.

Based at our purpose-built hospital, you’ll have access to advanced facilities and opportunities to work across East Lothian branches, with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing Nurse Academy development.

Responsibilities

• Theatre Nurse: support surgical procedures and asepsis.
• Consulting Nurse: assist with patient assessment and client communication.
• Inpatient Nurse: monitor hospitalised patients and care plans.
• Ward Nurse: manage patient flow and monitoring across wards.
• Prep Nurse: prepare equipment, drugs, and anaesthesia records.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Links Veterinary Group on a full-time basis.

Based primarily at our purpose-built hospital in Haddington, you'll have access to fantastic facilities including:

• Two fully equipped operating theatres
• Dedicated dental suite and imaging suite
• Separate cat and dog wards
• Isolation kennel
• Dedicated nurse consultation room
• In House Laboratory

You’ll also have opportunities to work across our branch practices throughout East Lothian, offering further variety and the chance to build relationships with clients and colleagues across the wider group.

One of the things we’re particularly proud of is our dedicated out-of-hours team of vets and nurses. Having a permanent night team means our patients benefit from true continuity of care, allowing more comprehensive case work-ups, closer monitoring of hospitalised patients, and improved follow-up of complex cases. For our day team nurses, this means seeing cases progress, achieving better clinical outcomes, and experiencing greater professional satisfaction.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• Full-time: 40 hours per week
• Shift pattern: Rota-based, with start times varying between 7:00am and 11:30am
• Working days: 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch break
• Weekend rota: 1 in 8 weekends, working Saturday and Sunday, 7:00am-7:00pm, with TOIL
• OOH: No out-of-hours work
