Welcome and join us in our purpose-built hospital!We are a RCVS accredited, Primary Care Practice that is based in Guilford. We provide the highest standard of veterinary care for small animals in a friendly and professional environment. Our practices are continuously being updated to ensure that our pets are being cared for in the best way possible, through our facilities and caring team.

We offer orthopaedic surgeries and also have Vets within the team who have a strong interest in exotic patients. This means we will have a radiography suite and an exotic ward built in the new hospital.
Your role and responsibilitiesWe are ideally looking for someone on a full-time basis with a 1:5 weekend rota (Saturdays only, following Monday off). Our shifts range from 8am - 5pm or 10:30am - 7:30pm. Most of our nurses work this pattern, but we are flexible and are open to longer shifts over 4 days.
We are a passionate, close-knit team and we are looking forward to meeting a new member of the Alder team. The team truly is everything, and we are a nursing team always keen to learn new things and give the best to our patients. We have started introducing schedule 3 procedures for the nurses and we run nurse consults every day. We actively encourage the RVNs taking on projects and pursuing new skills. Working in a purpose-built building also has it's perks, we have great facilities and would recommend anyone interested to come for a tour!

Developing and empowering our nurses is important to us. You will have access to over 150hours of pre-recorded CPD delivered by our expert clinicians and nurses. On top of this, you will have access to modular courses on a variety of topics including our AVA-accredited anaesthesia and analgesia modular course.
