Job summary

Beaumont Veterinary Centre in Exeter seeks a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive team. You will deliver high-quality nursing care across first opinion cases and collaborate with surgeons and the wider practice.

We offer a varied caseload across dogs, cats and small animals, a well-equipped clinic with ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy and in-house lab, plus ongoing development through our Nurse Academy and graduate pathways.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Ideally 2+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work across surgical, medical and nurse clinic duties.
  • Provide outstanding inpatient care and support the clinical team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Beaumont Vets on a full-time basis.

Beaumont Veterinary Centre is a well-established small animal practice based in Pinhoe, Exeter, with a strong focus on teamwork, clinical standards, and delivering excellent care to both patients and clients. We offer a varied and interesting caseload across dogs, cats, and small animals, giving our nurses the opportunity to develop a broad range of clinical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Our practice is well-equipped with ultrasound, digital x-ray, endoscopy, dental x-ray, and an in-house laboratory, allowing us to provide a high level of diagnostic and clinical care.

We also hold Cat Friendly Clinic accreditation and are proud of our 4.7 Google rating - a reflection of the standard of care our whole team delivers every day. Located in Pinhoe with on-site parking and easy access to Exeter city centre, the practice benefits from excellent local amenities and transport links.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • 40 hours per week but we are open to part-time applications
  • 3 or 4 days per week
  • 1:5 Saturday's 8:00-13:00
  • No out-of-hours requirement
