Registered Veterinary Nurse
Salary: £25397-£35000, depending on experience

We have a great opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us here at Marlborough Road Vets in Roath and Petherton Vets in Rumney, Cardiff.

Established in 1982, we're proud to have developed a loyal client base over the years, priding ourselves on providing a comprehensive, compassionate, and family-friendly veterinary service.

About the role:

• 40 hours per week, over four 10-hour shifts

• Shifts scheduled between 7:30am and 7:00pm

• One-hour unpaid lunch break each day

• One fixed day off per week

• Participation in our Saturday rota (8:30am–2:30pm), with time off in lieu the following week

• No out-of-hours required

Our nursing team consists of 4 RVNs, 3 SVNs and 2 PCAs. We're passionate about supporting and developing our colleagues, and we take a keen interest in helping our RVNs grow and thrive in their careers. We're proud to fully utilise our RVN skillset – two of our nurses have completed Schedule 3 training, one has undertaken additional imaging and ultrasound training, and two are currently working towards further certificates.

As part of the team, your responsibilities will be varied and rewarding, including monitoring anaesthesia, nurse consults, placing catheters, taking bloods, and providing in-patient care.

You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team, including 6 vets with interests in ophthalmology, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery. Our Marlborough Road site offers laparoscopic spay facilities and is in the process of having a new digital x-ray system installed. At Petherton, we've recently added dental x-ray and a new ultrasound machine, further enhancing our diagnostic capabilities.
