Job summary

Stechford Vets for Pets in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy practice. The role covers admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovery, and discharge, with support from ANAs and an SVN for theatre prep and turnaround.

We require a Vet Nurse with excellent customer service, a cheerful, down-to-earth approach, and a genuine interest in animal welfare. The position is full-time (34 hours across 4 days), with some Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

  • Experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with strong general nursing experience.
  • Excellent customer service and friendly, down-to-earth attitude.
  • Willing to develop as a clinical coach; training towards coaching desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Admit patients and monitor anaesthetics throughout procedures.
  • Recover and discharge patients after procedures.
  • Support from ANAs and SVN during theatre prep and turnaround.

About the role

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. Assistance from ANAs and an SVN with turning around theatre, patient prep.

To apply you will be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse and have good general nursing experience as well as great customer service skills, be cheerful, down‑to‑earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare. Previous experience as a clinical coach or willing to work towards is desirable.

This is a Full Time role working 34 hours per week across 4 days. Some Saturday shifts will be required.
