Job summary

Blue House Veterinary Centre in Biddulph, Staffordshire, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team on a permanent basis. The role offers up to 35 hours per week, with full-time or part-time applications considered, and no out‑of‑hours duties.

As part of the clinical team you will deliver high standards of nursing care, support patient recovery, run nurse consultations, and assist with theatre and diagnostic work alongside our veterinarians.

Qualifications

  • RVN registration with the RCVS is required.
  • Experience in small animal clinical practice is preferred.
  • Strong communication and team‑working skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
  • Provide inpatient care and support patient recovery.
  • Run nurse consultations and contribute to preventative healthcare and client education.
  • Support theatre and diagnostic work, including anaesthesia monitoring.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Blue House Veterinary Centre on a permanent basis. This role offers up to 35 hours per week, with full-time or part-time applications considered.

Blue House Veterinary Centre is a long-established, single-site small animal practice based in Biddulph, Staffordshire. We have a close-knit, family-feel team made up of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 5 Veterinary Nurses, 6 Client Care Advisors and a Practice Manager.

This opportunity has arisen as one of our much-loved and long-standing nurses embarks on an exciting new chapter to pursue a career in emergency and critical care. We’ll be sad to see her go, but we are proud to support her career progression and excited to welcome a new member to our team.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • Up to 35 hours per week
  • Full-time or part-time applications considered
  • Shift pattern to be discussed at interview, with flexibility considered
  • 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm, No out-of-hours or on-call duties
