Job summary

Sanctuary Group's Clover Court, Lowestoft, is seeking a Local Service Manager to lead the day-to-day running of a 20-person disability service. You’ll be backed by a network of specialist teams and responsible for staff of around 50–60, ensuring safe, valued care.

The role focuses on achieving outstanding outcomes for people supported, managing budgets and compliance with CQC, plus developing relationships with families, commissioners and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a managerial role within a similar service.
• NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and support people in a personalised way.
• Knowledge of CQC regulations and confidence working with partners.
• Experience of complex rota and scheduling management, fluctuating to customer need.
• Experience of supporting people with complex health needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the service, supported by the Deputy Local Service Manager.
• Inspire and develop a dedicated team of approximately 50-60 staff.
• Build strong relationships with customers, families, commissioners and partner agencies.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance and effective marketing of empty homes.

About the service and your role

At Clover Court we support 20 people with physical disabilities and/or acquired brain injuries living in self contained flats. We are committed to enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes, promoting choice, dignity, inclusion, and community participation. Clover Court is a purpose-built, fully accessible environment designed to meet the needs of wheelchair users and individuals requiring a range of assistive technologies, ensuring each person can live safely, comfortably, and with maximum independence.

As Local Service Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day running of the service, supported by the Deputy Local Service Manager, to inspire and develop a dedicated team of approximately 50-60 staff to deliver outstanding care and support.

You’ll build strong relationships with customers, families, commissioners and partner agencies, ensuring the service continues to provide exceptional outcomes. Alongside managing budgets and financial performance, you’ll oversee the effective marketing of empty homes, while maintaining high standards of health and safety and regulatory compliance.
