Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Registered Professional to join the North CMHT, delivering recovery-focused community mental health interventions across North Warwickshire and Rugby from bases in Nuneaton and Rugby.

The role requires a clinician with RMN, DipCOT qualifications or HCPC/NMC registration, working in a multidisciplinary team to support people with complex needs and co-existing neurodevelopmental conditions. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Join Our North Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)

The North CMHT supports communities across North Warwickshire and Rugby from bases in Nuneaton and Rugby. As part of an integrated team, you will work across both localities, collaborate with a range of professionals, and gain valuable experience.

We are seeking a motivated clinician to develop skills in caseload management and delivering clinical interventions within a recovery-focused community mental health service. Applications are welcomed from Registered Mental Health Nurses, Social Workers with mental health experience, and Occupational Therapists.

Main duties of the job

Join our supportive team and manage a caseload of people with complex mental health needs. You will undertake assessments and deliver evidence-based, person-centred interventions that support recovery and help individuals achieve meaningful goals.

We are particularly interested in clinicians with an interest in trauma-informed care and supporting people experiencing emotional dysregulation, distress tolerance difficulties, and complex psychological needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist expertise while making a real difference.

Many of the people we support have co-existing neurodevelopmental conditions. We value clinicians who can adapt their approach to meet individual needs and provide inclusive, compassionate care.

Job responsibilities

The North CMHT covers the locality of North Warwickshire & Rugby. We have two bases, one in Nuneaton and the other in Rugby and although you would be based in a particular location for expenses purposes, you are part of one large team, and you will get the opportunity to work across both localities with different colleagues.

This would be an ideal opportunity for a clinician who would be interested in developing their skills of managing a caseload and providing clinical interventions in an established and forward-thinking team.

The nature of the team means that you bring your knowledge, experience, enthusiasm, and empathy and are exposed to the knowledge and skills of other colleagues within the team, which promotes growth and development within your own practice at an accelerated rate. We are a team that recognises the work we do can be difficult at times and we have a strong supportive approach- both in professional matters and passing on good practice, learning and sharing risk but also when it impacts on us personally. We recognise the value in Supervision, and this is why we ensure we offer a range, including CBT supervision, Peer Supervision, Caseload Supervision & Development Supervision. They are well spaced, and this is something the team feel adds to the varying levels of support and shared responsibility.

Other

• Must have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Experience

• Substantial experience in a Community Mental health care setting
• Developed specialist knowledge gained within a similar environment over a considerable period of time
• Significant experience of undertaking assessment, formulation, risk assessment and positive risk management
• Experience of safeguarding and investigations
• Proven experience of people management

Qualifications

• Relevant Professional Qualification ie. RMN, DipCOT
• Current unrestricted registration with HCPC/NMC
