Salary: Up to £18.00 per hour (depending on experience, training, and qualifications)

St Edmunds Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, part of Circle Health Group—Britain's leading independent healthcare provider—performs complex surgeries across a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, providing staffing support during busy periods and staff absences.

Role Overview

As a Bank Registered Nurse at St Edmunds Hospital, your duties include:

  • Delivering direct patient care according to care plans and protocols.
  • Assessing patient needs, prioritizing care, and updating care plans.
  • Monitoring vital signs, recognizing condition changes, and escalating appropriately.
  • Administering medications safely in line with hospital policies and NMC Code.
  • Maintaining accurate nursing documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with NMC standards, governance, and hospital policies.
  • Reporting incidents, safeguarding concerns, and risks per hospital procedures.
Candidate Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
  • Experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
  • Understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in IT systems for patient records and care planning.
  • Experience in relevant specialties (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care) is desirable.
