Job summary

The Maples opened in May 2023; a 70 bed nursing and dementia specialist care home in the heart of Telford, managed by EQ Care Group. You will be a Qualified Registered Nurse at The Maples, placed at the heart of the home and leading by example to support your team with compassionate, person-centred care.

You will be responsible for ordering and administering medication, liaising with GPs and multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring high standards of care for residents.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience within a similar environment desirable.
• Valid NMC Pin - no restrictions.
• Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and internal applications; with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the management team and make sure that all relevant information is handed over at the change of shifts.
• Ensure each person who lives in the home is supported, and enabled the person’s way – every day.
• Represent The Maples brand by maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for all team members, residents, and visitors.
• To liaise with people who live and work in the home along with, GPs’ and other multi-disciplinary team members to promote excellent care
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Home Manager to support the overall functioning of the home.

8pm - 8am - Nights

up to 44 hours per week, to include alternate weekends
