A leading NHS trust is seeking Band 5 Mental Health Nurses for full-time and part-time roles at Ramsey Unit, Dane Garth. The successful candidates will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in mental health settings. We are excited to be able to advertise for Band 5 Mental Health Nurses to join the team on Ramsey unit, Dane Garth
As a staff nurse you will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide a high standard of care to those individuals who are within the most acute phase of illness; ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered. You will need effective communication skills and will be required to take on the roles of shift leader and named nurse.
You will be regularly supported and supervised by a more senior member of staff and a preceptorship is available if required.
We are committed to staff development and provide encouragement and support to staff to continue their lifelong learning.
The successful post holder will be expected to work shifts covering 24 hours, seven days a week.

Main duties of the jobYou will be a Nurse working within a multidisciplinary team and carry out a diverse range of duties. As a Band 5 Nurse within the team you will be regularly supported and supervised by a nominated Band 6 Nurse Specialist and you will be encouraged to take personal responsibility for clinical supervision and your continued professional development plan.
You will undertake a period of preceptorship overseen by a named Band 6 Nurse Specialist within your team and engage on the trusts Preceptorship programme.
You will actively promote teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability, excellence and compassion within the clinical team in accordance with the Trust values and Code of Conduct. You are required to maintain links with your professional body and provide evidence for the revalidation process.
You will provide nurse leadership within the multidisciplinary team and ensure the effective assessment, formulation, planning and monitoring of care given to service users.
You will exercise professional accountability and responsibility using skills, knowledge and expertise in changing environments, across clinical boundaries and in unfamiliar situations as outlined within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
You will maintain a positive and open attitude towards organisational change and service development.
