An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Outpatient Departments at Furness General Hospital & Ulverston Community Health Centre for a Registered Nurse (Adult) for a 24-hour post. You must be highly motivated, committed to high-quality care, and willing to work flexibly to enhance patient experience and safety in Outpatients.

Main duties of the job

Training and support will be provided for your development. The hours are flexible over six days, including some evenings and weekends. Previous outpatient or clinical setting experience is advantageous.

Working for our organisation

We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, along with community health facilities including Millom Hospital, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and RLI offer comprehensive hospital services, including Emergency Departments, Critical Care, and specialist clinics. WGH provides general hospital services, an Urgent Treatment Centre, and outpatient services across Morecambe Bay.

Education and qualifications

• First-level Registered Nurse
• Willingness to undertake Teaching Qualification, Mentoring/Assessing qualification, NVQ
• Assessors Award
• Post-registration clinical course relevant to the area
• ECDL or equivalent
