Position Overview

Location: The Duchy Hospital, Harrogate

Type: Bank Shifts (as and when required)

Salary: Up to £17.50 per hour (depending on experience, training, and qualifications)

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care aligned with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritize care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs, recognize changes, and escalate appropriately using clinical judgment.
• Administer medications safely, following hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Ensure compliance with NMC standards, clinical governance, and hospital policies.
• Report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks as per hospital procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Clinical healthcare experience.
• Understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficiency in IT systems related to patient records and care planning.
• Experience in relevant specialties (desirable): surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care.
