Job summary

Spire Healthcare Ltd’s Montefiore Hospital in Brighton/Hove is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the Outpatients Department on a full-time fixed-term basis (6 months). You will work with an experienced team across a wide range of specialisms, developing your clinical skills in a modern, supportive environment.

The role requires current NMC registration, broad nursing skills, and the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration with no restriction on practice.
• Competence across a range of nursing skills.
• Experience of working in teams with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Run nurse led dressing and phlebotomy clinics and assist in pre-operative investigations.
• Carry out duties delegated by the OPD Manager / team leader for proper and efficient care.
• Chaperone and assist Consultants during examinations and minor procedures.
• Complete Outpatient documentation to a high standard.
• Provide individualized nursing care and procedures to high standards in line with policies.
• Maintain and provide patients with relevant written information about procedures.

The Montefiore Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Staff Nurse to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis within our Outpatients Department.

You will work alongside an experienced and dynamic team across a wide range of specialisms, offering an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills in a modern, supportive environment.

The Montefiore Hospital is a premium provider of private healthcare in Hove- East Sussex. We practice some of the most advanced treatments with the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology. This means we can offer everything from screening, rehabilitation and cutting-edge surgical procedures across a variety of specialist treatments which are all delivered through our expert and caring clinical teams.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Run nurse led dressing and phlebotomy clinics and assist in pre-operative investigations
• Carry out any other duties delegated by the OPD Manager / team leader for the proper and efficient care of the patient's and the smooth running of the department
• Chaperone and assist Consultants during examination of the patient's and minor surgical procedures and assists in arranging investigations requested by consultants
• Complete Outpatient documentation to a high standard
• Carry out individualised nursing care and procedures to the highest standards complying with hospital policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain and provide patients with relevant and accessible written information regarding their procedures / treatments

Who we're looking for:

• Current NMC registration with no restriction on practice
• Competence across a range of nursing skills
• Experience of working in teams with minimum supervision

It would be advantageous to:

• Have experience of working in outpatient or a surgical environment
• Be ECG and Phlebotomy trained
