Make a Difference in Ophthalmic Care: Band 5 Nurse Opportunity
West of England Eye Unit, Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Exeter, UK)
The highly regarded West of England Eye Unit (WEEU) at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Nurse to join our busy Outpatients Ophthalmology team. This dynamic role involves a significant amount of walking and standing as you coordinate patient flow throughout the unit.
As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, working alongside 10 Consultant Ophthalmologists and a range of skilled professionals, you will play a vital role in assessing patient needs and coordinating their journey through our services. This will involve being active on your feet, ensuring patients are guided efficiently and effectively.
This role offers fantastic opportunities for leadership development and specialist training. While experience in ophthalmology would be advantageous, we are dedicated to providing full training to the right candidate. The working hours for this position are primarily daytime hours, Monday to Saturday, with the possibility of including Sundays in the future. You will not be required to work night shifts. You will need to be adaptable and comfortable with the physical demands of the role, which includes moving between various clinic areas, the day surgery unit, and pre-operative assessment. Flexibility to work across these areas as needed is essential.
