Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Registered Nurse for Oncology/SACT on a bank basis at Bishops Wood Hospital in Middlesex. Shifts run Monday to Friday with no weekends or evenings, and cover is provided on an “as and when required” basis.

Responsibilities include delivering direct nursing care, assessing patient needs, monitoring vitals, administering medications, and maintaining proper documentation in line with NMC standards. Must hold valid NMC registration and have clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of patient safety, governance and evidence-based practice.

• Monitor vital signs and escalate changes using clinical judgement.
• Administer medications safely according to hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation including assessments and observations.
• Ensure care complies with NMC standards and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents and safeguarding concerns as required.

Up to £26.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the nursing department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Shifts available in Oncology are Monday - Friday. No weekends or evenings.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and escalation appropriately using clinical judgement.
• Administer medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Ensure that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
• Previous experience in a relevant specialty desirable (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care).
