Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is looking for a warm, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join Moorlands Lodge Care Home in Hindhead, Surrey. You will act as person in charge in the absence of the Manager and ensure high standards of care for residents.

Ideal candidates hold a First Level qualification and current NMC registration, with at least 2 years' experience and solid care-planning knowledge. A DBS check will be funded by Avery Healthcare. DBS cost covered and eligibility to work in the UK required.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with up to date knowledge of care, supported by post-basic studies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Solid knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition and keeping them informed.
• Deploying and supervising the care team to ensure tasks are completed and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as aRegistered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
