Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is hiring a Registered Nurse for Clare Court Care Home in Birmingham. You will act as person in charge when needed, distribute medications, manage chronic conditions and lead a care team to ensure high standards of resident care.

Required are a First Level qualification, NMC registration and at least 2 years’ experience with care planning knowledge. A caring, respectful approach is essential to support residents and families in a luxury elderly care setting.

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate minimum 2 years’ experience with up-to-date care knowledge.
• Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and chronic condition management.
• Supervising care team staff to ensure tasks are completed during duty hours.
• Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and planning for residents.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as aRegistered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.Other responsibilitieswillinclude:Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
