Job summary

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join Avery Healthcare Group at Birchmere House Care Home in Knowle, Solihull. The role involves acting as person in charge in the Manager's absence and delivering high standards of care to residents.

Ideal candidates will have a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration, with about 2 years' relevant experience and knowledge of care planning. DBS check and UK eligibility verification are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge and stand in for the Manager when required.
• Undertake nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation and tube feeding.
• Advise families, GPs of changes in condition and keep them informed and involved in ongoing care.
• Supervise care staff to ensure tasks are completed and residents receive required care.
