Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Registered Nurse for Birchmere House Care Home in Knowle, Solihull. You will act as person in charge in Manager's absence, ensuring high standards of resident care and supervising staff.

Ideal candidates hold an NMC registration, have at least 2 years’ relevant experience, and excel in communication with families and the health team. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Demonstrate a minimum 2 years’ experience in care settings with up-to-date knowledge.
• Display strong interpersonal skills and ability to supervise care activities.
• Experience with care planning and practical application.

Responsibilities

• Undertake nursing tasks including medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and chronic condition management.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in resident condition and keep them informed.
• Deploy and supervise care team staff to ensure duties are performed during shifts.
• Provide high-quality care through accurate assessment and planning.
