Join a forward-thinking team as a Registered Nurse in Intensive Care at a leading NHS trust. You'll care for critically ill patients, ensuring high standards of individualized nursing care while benefiting from ongoing support and development opportunities. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in a busy, well-resourced unit.
An opportunity has arisen for Registered Nurses to join our friendly nursing team within Intensive Care. We have spacious, well-equipped units with dedicated teams of Intensivists, experienced critical care nurses, and proactive AHPs.
The unit is lively, energetic, and forward-thinking; embracing new initiatives, change, and the development of services.
You will receive orientation to the unit and will be comprehensively supported with a full induction programme and ongoing development in the care of critically ill patients.
You MUST have a minimum of demonstrable post-registration experience; experience in a current acute setting is essential. Previous critical care experience is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work internal rotation from day to night duty is essential.
You will be caring for critically ill patients requiring multi-organ support; responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering a high standard of individualised nursing care.
This role involves caring for X1 level 3 or X2 level 2 patients requiring ICU or HDU care.
You will liaise with the MDT and senior nurses on the ICU, and collaborate with admission and discharge areas to provide excellent nursing care and contribute to a positive patient journey and experience.
When called upon, providing support to other areas in the Trust during times of less activity on the unit and greater need elsewhere is an expectation.
