Position Summary: Administers patient care in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, illness, medical condition, or post-intervention assessment.

Virtual Hospital Care: Administers patient care via TeleHealth technology, assessing needs, developing care plans, and evaluating progress. Capable of conducting virtual visits, assessing symptoms, and escalating issues as needed. Collaborates with in-home staff and demonstrates age-appropriate care skills.
Provides direct care in patients' homes, assessing needs, contributing to care plans, and traveling within designated regions. Works autonomously, using virtual technology for communication, and transports items and medications as required.
Education/Training: Graduate of an approved nursing school. Meets all competency requirements for Orlando Health and the specific department.
Licensure/Certification: Current Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate license, BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. Additional certifications like ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC may be required for specific units. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for in-home nursing roles.
Experience: Minimum 1-year nursing experience required, or as approved by leadership. For Hospital Care at Home, at least 2 years of acute care experience is required.
