Job summary

Bupa is hiring a Registered Nurse for Aylesham Court in Leicester. This fixed-term role lasts 9 months with shifts 8am–8pm and 8pm–8am. Pay is up to £21.12 per hour, depending on experience, with a fixed-term contract and location at LE3 3PH.

You will lead clinical care, administer medications, develop care plans, and coach the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents.

Qualifications

• As a Registered Nurse, with a valid NMC pin, you'll be responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home.
• You'll oversee care, administer and order medication, review and evaluate individual care plans, and provide clinical guidance to the care team.
• You will deliver best practice continually and ensure policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.
• You will build connections with residents and families, providing kindness, support, and care.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for residents' well-being and meeting physical, emotional, and social needs.
• Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching to colleagues.
• Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

• As a Registered Nurse, with a valid NMC pin, you'll be responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home. This includes oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating individual care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team and delivering best practice continually.
• You have previous experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.
• You are confident offering clinical guidance for care teams, being crucial in helping with all CQC tasks.
• As a highly trusted member of the team you enjoy building connections with residents and their family, giving them the kindness and support and care they deserve.
• Effective communication and reporting skills are essential in order to effectively handover clinical issues to other team members and health care professionals.
• If working at night this will require enhanced skills to ensure patient safety as primarily you will be working alone with limited support from other healthcare professionals you will need to have strong critical thinking skills, need to be confident and self-reliant with the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in an emergency situation
