Job summary

Knights Grove Bupa Care Home in Southampton is recruiting a Registered Nurse (Days) to join our team. You will support residents with their physical, emotional, and social needs, administer medications, and lead the care team to deliver person-centred care within a supportive framework.

We offer 48-hour weeks across four 12-hour shifts, a welcome bonus, paid breaks, and extensive training including digital care tools.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin and current UK registration.
  • Experience in adult care and health settings.
  • Ability to coach and guide care teams.
  • Knowledge of care planning and clinical governance.
  • Strong communication with residents and families.

Salary: £18.68 - £21.70 Per Hour
Contract: 4x 12 shifts per week (48 hours)

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
  • As a Registered Nurse, with a valid NMC pin, you’ll be responsible for managing the unit alongside clinical duties in the home. This includes oversight of care, administering and ordering medication, reviewing and evaluating individual care plans, and providing clinical guidance to the care team and delivering best practice continually.
  • You have previous experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard.
  • You are confident offering clinical guidance for care teams, being crucial in helping with all CQC tasks.
  • As a highly trusted member of the team you enjoy building connections with residents and their family, giving them the kindness and support and care they deserve.
  • Effective communication and reporting skills are essential in order to effectively handover clinical issues to other team members and health care professionals.
  • If working at night this will require enhanced skills to ensure patient safety as primarily you will be working alone with limited support from other healthcare professionals you will need to have strong critical thinking skills, need to be confident and self-reliant with the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in an emergency situation
