Circle Health GroupThe Blackheath Hospital in London is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Enhanced Care Unit team. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week with flexible shifts across departments to support high-quality patient care.

You will deliver direct nursing care, assess needs, monitor vitals, administer medications, and maintain documentation in line with NMC standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration and current practice status.
• At least one year in HDU/ICU or equivalent high-dependency setting.
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance and patient safety.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records and care planning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with care plans and protocols.

We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Enhanced Care Unit department.

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern and work flexibly across different departments as required, including the Surgical Ward, to support service needs and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Duties Of This Role Include

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Monitor vital signs, recognise changes in condition, and escal ... up appropriately using clinical judgement.
• Administer medications safely and effectively in accordance with hospital policies and the NMC Code.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Ensure that all care provided complies with NMC standards, clinical governance requirements, and hospital policies.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a High Dependency Unit (HDU) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU/ITU)
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
• Previous experience in a relevant specialty desirable (e.g., surgical, medical, outpatient, orthopaedics, critical care).
