A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care. As an integral member of the Yale New Haven Health System (YNHHS), the Registered Professional Nurse (RN) upholds the YNHHS mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives to provide the highest level of patient-centered care. The RN practices within the legal and ethical framework established by relevant standards and guidelines, including the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model. The role of the RN is exemplified by leadership, delegation, collaboration, effective communication, and ensuring quality outcomes.
The RN provides care that:
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred. All new RNs must have current BCLS certification or obtain it within one month of hire.
Experience: All RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical program.
Licensure: Licensed and registered in Connecticut. Specialty certification is highly encouraged.
Skills & Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting patients up to 300 pounds. Must be able to work in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases and emotionally challenging situations.
