Here on Ward 5 at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital we are looking to recruit 2 enthusiastic Band 5 Registered nurses to cover 12 months secondments, who will deliver a high-quality patient care and thrive on the opportunities this post offers. Community health care is changing and fast developing, and it is an exciting time to be a part of Ward 5!

The world population is ageing, and we are all familiar with the challenges of meeting the needs of the growing number of older people here at Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and we all work tirelessly to ensure the right care and support services are in place when people need them.

It’s important to celebrate longevity and it is equally vital that longevity is coupled with an excellent quality of life and a sense of personal and social well-being. Thus, our vision for our patients is they should live long and healthy lives, enjoying an active, fulfilling and independent existence– in which the ageing process becomes a positive rather than a negative experience.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 5 Registered Nurse you will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care, including: assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating of holistic and individualised care. This will be in line with local, Trust wide and national policies, procedures, values and behaviours.
